Bake Sale moved to Sunday
Written by: Timothy Meinberg Filed under: Benefit, Cooking, Events
Due to the forecast for a lot of snow on Saturday we have moved the DC Vegan Bake Sale for Haiti to Sunday from 2-6, same location (bakers can drop stuff off at 1:30). We are still expecting a lot of foot traffic during this time due to the Superbowl. If you have any questions please let me know. Thanks!

Due to snow we are postponing to bake sale. We will let you know as soon as we reschedule. Enjoy the snow!
hey all, great job on the bake sales. i really love the idea on so many levels. one thing i’d seriously suggest considering though is to change the price structure. way too many amazing items are going far cheaper then they should and thus a LOT less is being raised. it seems $1 for some items works well (cookies) but for others (cakes, breads, specialty baked goods) is just giving food away when ingredients cost that much at times. given the effort so many great people put into this, it seems you can being raising a lot more money then $500 or so for the causes while still also promoting veganism. my2cents. otherwise, keep it up!!
Thanks for the feedback Joe. Since this was our first Bake Sale we were wanted to keep things simple and easy. A lot of people donated extra money which was very very generous. Next time will will probably do different prices for some items. We are still working on the second Bake Sale for Haiti reschedule date too.
