The argument to remove this animal to it's "natural" surroundings is bunk even in the opinion of the director of the largest pig refuge, who is quoted as follows: "...if a pig Gwendolyn's age were removed from familiar surroundings, it would probably get depressed, stop eating and die." , "Any pig hates change; Senior pigs, usually over 8 or 9 years of age, they literally die of a broken heart." Forcibly removing this animal in it's last stage of life serves no one and is markedly cruel.' Please post this story everywhere you can, especially if you're a local, and be sure to write in to PG county; it only takes a few minutes. I’ve written the PG county feedback site with the following:

You just have to be proactive enough to learn and understand their natures and commit yourself to that pet.
