Thanks for the head up, Timothy.

Here’s an interesting (and disturbing) interview with Wayne Pacelle on Agri-Talk that I think all vegans should listen to-

    http://audio.agritalk.com/wordpress/?p=950

Any vegan concerned about non human animal exploitation should be very weary of the positions Mr. Pacelle takes. He is clearly not opposed to non human animal exploitation. Anyone concerned about “animal rights” should be aware that Wayne Pacelle does not represent your views. No, he is, according to this interview, not for “animal rights”, and is actually antagonistic to the cause of anyone who wants to end the oppression of other animals. He makes it crystal clear that he just wants to make raising, raping, torturing, and slaughtering other animals “more humane”. For those of us who are vegan, don’t we know that there is not humane way to torture and kill another animals? He also is not opposed to hunting or zoos either. Really?
And, to top it off, the HSUS webpage for this meeting states – “The HSUS fights against the cruelty, neglect, and exploitation of animals”. Someone should really tell Pacelle this.
I hope I can be at this meeting. I’ll certainly be sending a question (or several!).
