Wheeler del Torro, author of The Vegan Scoop, 150 Recipes for Dairy-free Ice Cream that Tastes Better Than the “Real” Thing, will discuss his new book and provide samples of vegan ice cream. A portion of the proceeds from book sales will be donated to Compassion Over Killing.
Wheeler del Toro is the founder and owner of Wheeler’s Frozen Desserts, a micro-creamery based in Boston dishing out vegan ice cream made with soy, coconut, rice, and almond milks. His ice cream has been featured in Boston Magazine and on the popular website Daily Candy. He opened his first store this year in Boston and plans on opening a sister shop in L.A. soon.
