Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
St. Patrick might not be known for being particularly pro-animal (he allegedly chased the snakes out of Ireland). But he was definitely a tree hugger…or, at least a stone kisser.
In any event, here’s a recipe for Vegan Bailey’s Irish Cream, that will kick off your St. Pat’s Day just right!
Ingredients:
- 1 can coconut milk
- 2 tbs brown sugar
- 2 tbs chocolate syrup
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup whiskey
Instructions:
Shake it like a polaroid picture. But don’t spill. Now, drink! Slainte!
Thanks to Post Punk Kitchen for the recipe.

HBO Documentary: “Death on a Factory Farm”
On Monday, March 16, HBO is premiering Death on a Factory Farm, an eye-opening documentary chronicling the undercover investigation inside an Ohio factory farm and the ensuing criminal cruelty case. While employed at the facility, the investigator used a hidden camera to capture disturbing scenes of abuse, including pregnant pigs nearly immobilized in gestation crates, piglets thrown and piled into crates, and older pigs being hanged to death by a chain attached to a forklift.
The documentary will air on HBO several times during March. Read more and check the schedule here.
