DC Vegan Drinks, Thursday January 8th

The first DC Vegan Drinks will be held Thursday, January 8th from 7pm to 9pm at the Science Club [1136 19th St NW, Washington, DC 20036]

DC Vegan Drinks #1

Happy Hour specials will be from 7-8 (they start at 6), we will have a list of what’s vegan.

At around 8 we will be doing shout outs, a chance for you to promote yourself, a group, or a cause. We will give you about 30 seconds to do your spiel, so be prepared (literature, business cards, fliers, etc…). We will have a signup sheet for those who are interested in doing a shout out–please limit shout outs to vegan/animal rights and welfare issues.

    “DC Vegan Drinks
    Join hosts Compassion Over Killing and DC Vegan for the first-ever installment of DC Vegan Drinks January 8 at the Science Club. For anyone who’s more of a wordsmith than a numbers whiz, this event is tonight, so don’t delay in marking your calendar. Meet like-minded people and don’t forget to tip your bartender! Look for an announcement about the VN-hostedSan Francisco Vegan Drinks coming soon! “

    Tim;

    I would like to congratulate and thank you as well as your wife for organizing this fantastic event. I had a substantially nice time. I’ve gone to all sorts of veg*n and AR related events in the area, but last night I saw a whole bunch veg*ns I never met or even encountered before. Having organized a few events myself I can tell you getting people who don’t normally turn out for veg*n events, especially on a dreary cold week night is no small feat.

    Thanks so much for putting the work into it.
