Simple, Vegan Footwear

simple toemorrow As many of us know good vegan footwear is pretty limited. But I recently bought myself a pair of Simple shoes (vegan of course). I have been looking for these all over the DC area for a while (i prefer to try them one rather than buying online) and there are not really may places that carry a good selection of them, except one. I got my pair a Nest in Clarksville, they carry a selection of mens and womens Simple shoes (they also have Keen and Earth Shoes). Now not all of the Simple shoes are vegan but I think a majority of the line is and they are also green. They use a lot of hemp, organic cotton, post consumer paper, and recycled PET . Simple also has a line of bags which are pretty sweet looking too (i have not got one of these yet). But so far I love my Simple shoes very comfy and they have this cool insole that has these little bumps on it to massage your feet.

I can certainly understand wanting to try on the shoes. One site that I love that certainly has vegan shoes, but also vegan handbags is http://www.vegetarianshoesandbags.com/

The Simple Shoes site shows them as available at the REI stores and at Nordstrom, but I have no idea how the selection at those stores would compare to Nest.

Yeah, I think that their selection is pretty slim, I never checked out Nordstrom but REI in Rockville did not have any.
