As many of us know good vegan footwear is pretty limited. But I recently bought myself a pair of Simple shoes (vegan of course). I have been looking for these all over the DC area for a while (i prefer to try them one rather than buying online) and there are not really may places that carry a good selection of them, except one. I got my pair a Nest in Clarksville, they carry a selection of mens and womens Simple shoes (they also have Keen and Earth Shoes). Now not all of the Simple shoes are vegan but I think a majority of the line is and they are also green. They use a lot of hemp, organic cotton, post consumer paper, and recycled PET . Simple also has a line of bags which are pretty sweet looking too (i have not got one of these yet). But so far I love my Simple shoes very comfy and they have this cool insole that has these little bumps on it to massage your feet.

The Simple Shoes site shows them as available at the REI stores and at Nordstrom, but I have no idea how the selection at those stores would compare to Nest.
Yeah, I think that their selection is pretty slim, I never checked out Nordstrom but REI in Rockville did not have any.
